Join Us During Period Poverty Awareness Week, May 12-18, 2025
A time to raise awareness and take action on the urgent issue of period poverty affecting many in our community. Together, we can support menstruators across Memphis and the Mid-South.
Created by the Alliance for Period Supplies, Period Poverty Awareness Week aims to draw attention to the negative impacts of period poverty and promote menstrual equity. We invite everyone to join the movement—start conversations about period poverty, host virtual product drives, donate to the Alliance or local programs, or find other ways to make a difference from right at home.
Since 2018, the Alliance for Period Supplies has led this annual campaign to raise awareness and support community-based initiatives that provide free period products. They also advocate for legislation to address menstrual equity.
Support our #endperiodpoverty movement with 901 Period by getting involved locally:
– Host a period supply drive and organize a “Period Supply Pack Party” with friends
– Help fill the Pantry by purchasing supplies from our Wish List
– Donate funds or set a personal fundraising goal
– Attend PPAW events
– Share our social media posts throughout PPAW
Together, we can make a difference. For more information, contact Cori Smith at cori.smith@sweetcheeksdiaperministry.org.
